The Cascade family is growing with the addition of two new babies!

Mrs. Ball had her baby, Isabel, on December 7th  at 4 a.m. She weighed seven pounds and 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Mr. Puckett welcomed his son, Miller, on December 18th 2019 at 12:10 a.m. He weighed 9.2 pounds and was 21.5 inches long.

With new babies comes difficulties, laughs, stress, and much more, especially when you have other kids that you have to worry about as well.

Miller and Isabel are both the lucky third child in each family, with Mr. Pucket having two older daughters, and Mrs. Ball a two-year old son and her stepdaughter, Ashlynn.

Everyone knows with newborn babies there’s going to be the ages that are worse than others, for example the terrible twos. Now that both families have had experience, they will be more prepared for what baby number  three both may need and may not need.

With new born babies comes many difficulties as well. For instance newborns have very delicate skin that can break extremely easy. They also get sick much easier than a teen or an adult would.

Mr. Puckett says, “I would like to completely decorate my house in Nerf and bubble wrap, but Mrs. Puckett always vetoes it.”

Mrs. Ball says, “A cold for a normal human sucks, but for a newborn it is awful. She had to eat every hour and we were constantly working to maintain her weight and hydration.”

People may think that having multiple kids will cause a headache because one will be mean to the others. But, that is not always the case. Kids with newborn brothers and or sisters are very gentle and caring to them. They are usually always checking up on the new baby and asking to hold or play with him or her.  As the kids get older that’s a whole different story.
