The past few years the Cascade Football team has struggled with tackling wins. This year looks different.

According to Head Coach Connor Simmons, the Cadets had eight practices and 26 lifting opportunities to prepare for success.

Seniors Liam Farmer, Devon Weigle, Jayson Kemp, Makye Tharp and Walker Vanness have a goal to win a sectional title this year. “If this team doesn’t take short cuts, anything is possible,” said Simmons.

The freshman class looks like they will contribute a lot to the program. They are an athletic group of kids who work hard and love the weight room. They are hungry for wins.

Taking over the reins this year will be freshman quarterback, Brady Trebley. He is a well-rounded athlete who can throw the ball.

Also filling  a major role is another freshman, J.T Roshsong in the wide receiver position.

With lots of leaders and a strong group of seniors, the Cadets are looking forward to a great season. According to  Farmer, “I am looking forward to being a good role model for the younger players.”

The community is excited for Friday night lights. With great support and a great start in the summer, this could be the year.
