Jerilyn Short, Staff

‘The’ Cascade High School ninth grade English teacher has returned for second semester.
At the beginning of the year, Mrs. Ball was working at Lawrence Central. Ball stated, “I missed all the amazing students and staff. I love that they get the opportunity to develop relationships in a small group setting.”
Another reason for her return was because of how she had missed the small-school setting and all it entails.
Mrs. Ball is very happy to be back at Cascade and looks forward to getting to know the class of ninth graders. She is looking forward to developing relationships and making connections with students. She is also looking forward to teaching Romeo and Juliet in the spring and to teach empathy through literature.
Many freshman are happy that Mrs. Ball had returned. Freshman Alliyah Smith says, “I am glad that Mrs. Ball is back because I feel she is a little more organized.”
Freshman Jaylen Caldwell wishes to accomplish becoming friends with Mrs. Ball and hopefully to improve his reading skills.
Freshman are looking forward to the rest of the semester with Mrs. Ball, and hope to learn something new.
