If you’ve walked the halls of Cascade, you’ve most likely seen a smiley, goofy kid named Elijah Cook, also known as Jimmy.
He’s been going to Cascade for seven years and is involved in cross country and track and field. Some of Elijah’s favorite high school memories come from spending time with the cross country and track teams at McDonald’s and Taco Bell after meets. One thing he loves about the Mill Creek community is how close everybody is and how everybody knows each other.
When he graduates from Cascade, he plans on attending Indiana University in Bloomington and majoring in accounting.
Elijah‘s advice for younger students is to take harder classes earlier because this leads you to have the opportunity to have the type of senior year that is a lot less stressful and allows you to focus on working and applying for scholarships.
“I would also say it is better to lose some friends earlier on good terms than to end up on bad terms. If it is not working out it’s just not. You can always try to salvage bonds later,” said Cook.
