Seniors, are you prepared for your last day of high school? Have you started thinking about what you are going to do with your life? Whether that is applying to colleges, taking a gap year, working or going to a trade school, having a plan after graduation is important.
It can be scary moving into this new chapter because it’s a huge difference from what you were used to. No more homecoming, prom or being around the same group of friends everyday. It’s not meant to be scary, but it is and can feel very intimidating.
This year we are getting prepared for the real world and the path that it is going to take us. We are making big decisions that will lead us to our futures while saying goodbye to what we have known for the last 12 years.
For some of us that means leaving our parents homes and off to college, and others trade school or working full time. All of this can consume our thoughts and minds, but we really need to enjoy these last months and days of school. We need to make sure we make these memories with our friends and attend school events.
Our teachers and professors have been preparing us for this and it’s finally here. On May 31st we will graduate and turn our tassels. This will be our last event as class of 2024 at Cascade High School. So enjoy ever minute. May you enjoy the rest of your senior year and may your future be bright, but never forget…once a Cadet, always a Cadet.
