There are lots of special students at CHS. But Brooke, Chase and Logan Schnarr are extra special.
The Schnarr triplets are a well-know and liked trio at CHS. Even though this group of siblings has grown up together…literally from the beginning, they are all very different.
Logan, the wrestler of the group, says that joining this team has had a huge impact on him.
In, now, his third year of the sport, the 113-pound dynamo says his goals for this season was to keep going and place higher in conference and sectionals with his ultimate goal being semi-state.
He took his first step by advancing to the Mooresville regional after a strong sectional showing.
While wrestling he says he has learned important skills like discipline and perseverance. Not only does this come important in wrestling, but also life. He says that while on the team, coaches have been role models not only for wrestling but also for his future.
According to Logan, “I do feel like I have a leadership role on the team. As a captain it is my job to make sure everyone keeps their head straight and help push them in the right direction whether that be in the wrestling room, on the mat or in the classroom.”
Logan plans to study business at either IU, UIndy, ISU or Ball State.
Chase Schnarr, the youngest of the triplets, has really enjoyed the time he has spent at Cascade. He has been involved in many sports growing up, but has always been drawn to soccer the most. Over the years he decided to stop playing many sports and focus most of his time on soccer, along with his passion for cars and mechanics.
He doesn’t exactly know what the future holds for him, but he plans to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio for his first degree in High Performance Motorsports. Then he plans on continuing his education to get a supervisors degree.
Chase has many of the same interests as his brother Logan. According to Chase, “Logan and I are pretty similar. We both enjoy working on our cars and being around cars. Another thing we both enjoy is going fishing and outdoor activities. We also share the same humor so we often joke around with each other and get along for the most part.”
Although Logan and Chase are very similar, Brooke has totally different interests.
Growing up with two brothers meant holding her own was a big part of Brooke’s childhood. She has always been an athlete just like her brothers, as she used to do gymnastics when she was younger and as a sophomore decided to be a cheerleader.
“I knew some of the cheerleaders at that time and they convinced me that I would enjoy it,” Brooke said when she decided to join the winter sideline cheer team.
She has good grades right now, and has been on the honor roll for her the entirety of high school. Her favorite subject is science, saying, “There is so much to learn and a lot of it is very interesting and hands-on.”
While she plans to initially study nursing, Brooke hopes to specialize in pediatric nursing.
The siblings feel fortunate to have grown up as Mill Creek kids. “The community at Cascade is great because it is small and everyone knows pretty much everyone within the school and at events. Cascade offers a tight-knit community where mentors and peers want to see you succeed,” according to Brooke.
While being a triplet is very rare, it is not much different than just having two other siblings. According to Chase, “The only difference really is that you all go through the major parts of life together at the same time.”
