Cascade’s freshman English teacher is having another baby!
Mrs. Ball is a well-loved teacher here at CHS. As the mom of two children, there is no doubt that she is ready for baby number three.
Mrs. Ball has been a teacher for ten years. She attended IUPUI for college and throughout her career she has worked at Lawrence Central High School, and of course Cascade High School.
Ball knew she wanted to be a teacher because of how much she loved helping her younger siblings. “I enjoyed helping them with school growing up. Being a teacher just seemed meant to be,” she said.
She knows lots about being a teacher to her students, but also a mom to her children.
“Being a mom of younger kids is mostly a blast. My kids enjoy the little things, and I enjoy watching them react to all the new experiences. Little kids definitely require a lot of patience, as they don’t have a ton of patience themselves,” said the mom to 5-year-old Timmy, 3-year-old Izzy and stepmother to Ashlyn, 13.
A lot of times being a mom is like a teacher. You have to care for your students and make sure they are taking the right approach towards school and life. Mrs. Ball knows all about that.
One CHS student said, “Mrs. Ball is one of the best teachers at CHS, she is passionate and loves helping her students.”
The new Ball baby will certainly be a joyous addition to the family and is lucky to have such a devoted mom.
