The 2023 school year brought a new Edwards to campus. 2024 brings a double dosage of Edwards men to Cascade.
Mr. Troy Edwards attended Concord High School in Elkhart, attended Hanover College and then later went to Indiana Wesleyan for his teaching degree. Before CHS, he taught at Beech Grove High School for t 10 years. He also coached at Avon, Beech Grove, Monrovia and IPS before Cascade.
Edwards applied here 10 years ago but didn’t get the job. But when another opportunity arose, he took his chance and applied.
“I like that it is only 15 minutes from home, rather than 45. I also like that the day is over at 3:00, not 3:50. I love the fact that I am able to coach football at full capacity as well. The people have been great, and very welcoming since day one.”
He says he is still feeling out the smaller environment, but it will be easier for him to get to know people.
Senior Fox Edwards followed his dad to CHS after attending Avon High School before making the switch. He said the biggest difference between the two schools would be the size of them.
“I decided to come to Cascade because I just wanted a change, my dad was going to be teaching and coaching and I wanted to go to a smaller school.”
Fox is finding his place as a member of the football team and the student publications team. He hopes to attend Ball State University and go into sports broadcasting on the Ball States SportsLink Program.
Both Edwards’ are already getting involved in activities at Cascade and hopefully this will lead to a positive impact on the community.

These men are fine humans. Great guys. Cascade has real gems. They are real Americans and will fight for the rights of every man.
