Athlete Spotlight: Logan Howard

Cascade baseball has had a lot of success this season with a record right now of 6-2.  A lot of players have been on a roll, but one that stands out is all around player, Logan Howard.

Howard, a junior utility player,  was recently nominated for Indy Star player of the week as one of the best players in the state of Indiana. “I felt surprised because I would never think I would be nominated for player of the week. I also feel honored that I’m included with the other great baseball players on Indy Star,” he said.

Howard has had a lot of experience with baseball as he has been playing his whole life. Howard said, “I am a competitive person and playing baseball gives me a chance to be competitive.”

Being a part of a team gives him teammates that he can trust and rely on when he needs them. He said that his best memory of being on the Cascade baseball team was winning sectionals last year.

Howard said that we could have a lot of success this year. “We have a good chance of winning conference and sectionals this year,” he said.

Hopefully Howard can keep being a good asset for the team and the Cadets can finish the season strong.
