Congratulations Drama Club seniors!
April 5, 2023
The drama club seniors presented the senior showcase on March 11th and it was a hit! The seniors presented songs from the past several decades and were allowed to invite a co-star with them for their second song.
Each senior got to choose two songs to sing to display their talents. Before each act a video of the senior was displayed talking about their hopes for the future and the reason they chose their songs.
Carly Hicks chose the song “There are Worse Things I Could Do” from Grease. She dressed as Rizzo and blew the crowd away. Her chosen co-star was Laney Starbuck and together they sang “What is this Feeling?” as the closer for the show.
Starbuck sang “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” originally sang by The Shirelles and she sang it beautifully. Ethan Davis sang along with Starbuck as they chose “Something to Believe In.”
Senior Ethan Davis and Kyler Effner sang “It’s Raining Men” and walked up and down the aisle high fiving the crowd. For Davis’ solo. he sang “This is the Moment” and it was empowering with the crowd roaring after his performance.
Levi Southworth chose the song “Bye, Bye, Bye” for his solo performance and rocked it before he and co-star Hailey Seymour sang “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” after which Southworth gave Seymour a kiss on the cheek.
For Seymour, she chose Justus Palumbo as her partner. Together they sang “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors and her solo was “I Can Hear the Bells.”
Maddi Coy sang with a graduated Cadet, Brennan Horning. The song they chose was “One Sweet Day.” For Coy’s solo she sang a song from Legally Blonde the Musical, “So Much Better.”
Last but not least. Evan Davis sang the popular Taylor Swift song, “Anti-Hero” and everyone in the crowd was singing along. He chose Hicks for his partner and they sang “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen.
All of the drama club senior are very talented and did amazing at Senior Showcase. You can see each of them once more in The Addams Family on April 14, 15, 16.
