Logan Bickel

113 pound sophomore, Logan Bickel wrestled his way to a season of 22 impressive wins.

Although he is a smaller grappler, his strength should not be underestimated because he is a beast.

Bickel recently competed at the I.H.S.S.A. semistate, which was nerve racking because he faced an opponent he had previously lost to.

In the first match against Garret Forler of Evansville Mater Dei, Bickel won 11-4 and said that it went well.

However, the second match was more of a challenge for Bickel as he was pinned by Coy Hammack of Tell City.

“The competition was tough, but a lot of fun,” said Bickel.

Although Bickel dealt with a devastating loss and was unable to advance to the state finals, he continues to hold a good attitude about the next wrestling season.

Bickel said, “This experience will help me for next year because it shows me what I will need to do in order to get better. It will help me physically and mentally going into next year and I am going to continue doing off-season wrestling.”
