“Among Us” made a huge spike in popularity late in 2020.

With Covid-19 taking over our lives, “Among Us” is not a new game, but rather was released by Innersloth back in 2018.

Innersloth has been around for a few years, but, it’s “Among Us” fame saw a jump in popularity for the company basically overnight.

The popularity of the game hit trending mid October  out of nowhere and the soaring interest ended the run that “Fall Guys” had just before the world went into quarantine mode.

Streamers such as Disguised Toast, Sykkuno, Valkyrae, Corpse, 5uppp, Smajor1995 and so many more have gained more subscribers play “Among Us.”

For those who don’t know, “Among Us”  is a multiplayer online game much like the card game “Mafia” where there are a choice of  up to three imposters and the rest are known as crewmates. The crewmate’s job is to finish tasks and find the killer before the imposter kills everyone while also not looking suspicious

The game itself became popular not only for it’s simplistic design but because you can play with random people in lobbies or with your friends on platforms like Discord. The game is also a really great cross-platformer, available on mobile devices, PC and, just recently, the Nintendo Switch.

People who play the game lobby to get the role they love. Many love imposters while others simply hate it and much rather want to play and be the crewmate.

The game might revive itself yet again sometime this year with the new maps release creeping around the corner. Fans are anticipating its arrival while some have dropped ship and given up on playing this game of deception.

Whether you’re the crewmate who will always do tasks or the detective who watches everyone’s movements and actions, this game is fun for the whole family.
