Closing time

This past week both the boys and girls soccer teams’ seasons came to an end. The boys were defeated 2-1 by Bethesda Christian (14-3-1) and the girls lost 1-0 to North Putnam (8-6-2). It was a great season for the two young teams and shed light on the bright future of the soccer program.

The boys team finished the season at 7-10 and finished 2-4 in the tough new Indiana Crossroads Conference.   They were led by captains Blake Stack and Jacob Huffer who combined for 24 of their 28 goals.

The injury bug plagued the team throughout the season as they had to play many games with one or more starters out.

The bright side is that there are no seniors on the team, so they will have all starters returning for the upcoming year. They have a lot of talent and are looking forward to stepping up and making a run next year.

The girls team finished the season 3-14 and 3-4 in the conference.

The team had a combined 13 goals on the season and was led by junior Torie Potters and sophomore Grace Franklin with 4 goals each.

The team did well with a young team and looks to a good return next year.
