The girls golf team has begun the season with a rocky with two tough matches at the Plainfield Invitational and the county tournament.
The team is very young, consisting of five golfers with four of them being new to the game.
After losing all- county golfers Dixie Short and Anna Littrel to graduation, the only returning player is senior Grace Engel.
Coach Walt Marshall expressed that this season will be about rebuilding and learning.
The golf program is starting to develop at Cascade with Marshall spending personal time building a driving range on school property.
”Our goal as a team is to try and do our best, especially with us being so young and I’m looking forward to learning from my mistakes and to get better as an athlete,” said sophomore Kara Berge.
The Cadets still have a long season in front of them and they are ready to get back to work to have a good season.
