A season of memories

A season of memories

The mighty Cadets football season is officially over. They fought hard all season long and never gave up hope. Their heads were always held high. The Cadets went to the second round of sectionals, losing in a muddy, and close game against North Putnam. The record for the Cadets was 5 – 7.
Their season started off exquisite with a big win against Danville which shocked the county. They had other big wins against Brown County, Cloverdale and Owen Valley.
Junior Zechariah Carroll said the season was “a great year of team bonding, hard work, dedication and memories to last a lifetime.”
The seniors had a great impact on the Cadet football team and the underclassmen are dedicated to prevail next year and hopefully bring home a sectional title.
The Black and Blue Crew did a phenomenal job of always cheering the team. They helped the Cadets gain victories over the course of their season. Leaders Dixie Short, Taylor Mayes and Sara Berge organized the cheers, themes and the props in the stands. They were always loud and always made the games exciting for the crowd.
Coach Spinks and the rest of the coaching staff inspired the team to achieve victory but sadly fell just short. Despite the injuries and weather, the team grew and has a lot to look forward to next season. The Cadets have some big shoes to fill next year, but as one player said, “we’re ready for the challenge.”
